Such a diversity of opinion in this country.  Obamaites one side and the Krugmanites on the other.  How can these two disparate groups ever reconcile their differences?  Keynes is up in heaven so worried about this country.  Why can't we learn to love one another?  What's so funny about peace love and understanding?

So is the mainstream choice Krugman or Obama then?  Wow, turd sandwich or giant douche indeed.

The downside to this "left and lefter" debate is that it perpetuates the myth that Obama is the one who is trying to "save capitalism" from its own excesses. I think as the situation progresses you're going to see as much criticism of Obama coming from the left as from more libertarian-minded individuals (as well as the shrieking insane conservative "muslim-socialist Obama" faction).

out of curiosity. who's the biggest commie ? obama or krugman ?

edit : I mean, "obama is wrong" probably means he underestimated the amount of money 'needed' for bailouts ?

I was wondering the same thing myself.  My money is on Krugman.

Who was bigger of Marx and Lenin? One academic, one practitioner. One said it, the other one did it. It's a "couple" thing.

It's not fascism when the government does it.

And people wonder why newspapers, and newsmagazines are going under.

Abstract liberty, like other mere abstractions, is not to be found.

Haha. I would say neither.  The communists to their credit at least saw through the scam that was the New Deal.

As Murray used to say... there's one good thing about Marx, at least he was not a Keynesian.

In Maoist China the only way to criticize the government without being sent to a death happy camp was saying that it wasn't doing enough to further the cause of Socialism. Time to dig up your parents' Red Booklet!

Thank god, I've been waiting for some political group to buy me off.  It has been a long time comming for Arabs in America, now we can finally live the American dream.  We are a non muslim family though, I wonder if that will make a difference, I think it may be another decade or two when they go after that much valued Eastern Orthodox vote.

what the fascists proved was that most people are right-wing socialists. remember jennings bryan and kansas?

the democrats could have a single party dictatorship if they left their latees on the subway platform

...okay, I'll give you that that was somewhat lacking in clarity. I meant the crowd that is convinced that Obama is a Muslim and a secret Marxist (as another poster has noted, he is a keynesian: it's much worse), not a hypothetical Ba'athist fifth column. Although, I will submit your ideas to the DNC.

Funny that they would label cries of "More, more, faster, faster" as "opposition". Seems like it would be better described as cheerleading.

Peace
