I am posting this publicly so everyone knows what to expect of moderators.

Opportunities

Mises.com is a brand new community and is intended to be run its users.  This means that it is up to you to define the future of this community and your role within it.  You can be an occasional moderator, a discussion leader, or the senior administrator of the site.  Privileges will be assigned as you demonstrate entrepreneurship and responsibility.

Expectations

Moderators are expected to follow the forum rules rigorously and enforce them impartially.  Any violation of the rules by a moderator is grounds for immediate loss of administrative privileges and possibly loss of posting privileges entirely.

Moderators should abstain from arbitrating disagreements in which they are a participant.

Important decisions should follow consensus.   Use the moderator forum to seek peer review and establish precedent.
