Not really a discussion just more of me learning about US history and telling everyone else.

 

In answer to the question ,recent scholarship says No.

I don't really want to comment or read anything here.I have near zero in common with many of you.I may return periodically when there's something you need to know.

Near Mutualist/Libertarian Socialist.

Reminds me of Hamilton's suggestion at the Constitutional Convention of there being a "permanent president", among other bizarrely tyrannical ideas.

He was never offered to be King, but there was discussion on what the title of the leader of the country would be.

I never heard that version of the story. Instead, in middle school and whatever, they told us that he was "asked" to be the president for a further term but refused because he did not want to be "like a king" or something.

If I wrote it more than a few weeks ago, I probably hate it by now.
