No sugar in New York, no plastic in L.A.

The nanny state is alive and well.

You want to hear something funny?  I was doing some work for the company I work for in Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada.  It is the epicenter of the Tar Sands Industry in Canada.  They have a partial ban on plastic bags (at grocery, general merchandise, and some other stores) in the city that is responsible for 2/3rds of the ENTIRE NATION OF CANADA'S greenhouse gas emissions!

If you don't laugh, you'll cry.  I know Orwell is getting a chuckle out of it!
