Greetings.
I have now made available a free audiobook version of Hans-Hermann Hoppe's Economic Science and the Austrian Method, which you can find at http://progressofliberty.today.com/hoppe-austrian-method/
I hope that you enjoy listening to it.
I will be periodically adding new recordings of Austrian books, essays, and treatises on The Rational Argumentator's new audio section: http://progressofliberty.today.com/tra-audio/
Check back frequently to get access to the newest additions. I have been given permission by the Mises Institute to record at my discretion, so I have some fairly ambitious goals in mind regarding this project.
Sincerely,
Gennady Stolyarov II
Editor-in-Chief, The Rational Argumentator: http://rationalargumentator.com
Thanks, again, Gennady. But I still can't figure out how to download the .mp3s. I can listen to them on your website, but I would much prefer to listen to them from my iPod when I walk. Your web pages say we can listen or download, but I can't figure out how to download.
Mike,
I have now made available the source URLs for all recordings on the same pages where you can stream the recordings. You can download them that way. It is the best I could do, as my blog interface quite often tinkers with my coding without my permission, and it has hitherto turned all my attempts at creating download buttons into yet more players for streaming the recordings. Hopefully, my current solution will get around this difficulty.
Thanks, Gennady. That works for me*. And I'm just about to go on a walk. Perfect timing! :)
In my browser, if I copied the download URLs you provided and pasted them in a new browser tab, the mp3 file played and I had no option to download it. But if I pasted the URL minus the file name (e.g., http://rationalargumentator.com/austrianrecordings instead of http://rationalargumentator.com/austrianrecordings/Taylor2.mp3), then I was able to view the directory containing all your mp3 files, and I could right-click and download each mp3 file instead of listening to them via the browser.
* The one exception is the first “An Introduction to Austrian Economics” file, whose URL is different than the rest: http://rationalargumentator.com/Taylor1.mp3. Since it doesn't have a subdirectory before the file name, your main website loads instead of a directory listing the mp3 files, and I cannot get to the first Taylor mp3 file. Maybe I'll just listen to that one on the web and the others on my iPod.
Thanks again for all your work!
Thanks so much for all your work!!!
