I have heard at least one Austrian, maybe DiLorenzo say that the Great Depression wasn't so bad for the people that had jobs. This was due to the decline in prices during that period. My only exposure to the living conditions during the Great Depression comes from a WWII vet whose family struggled during that time. I have Rothbard's America's Great Depression on my Kindle, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Do you know of any books, articles, or stories that discuss the living conditions of people who were able to remain employed throughout the depression?

Thanks, that looks like just what I am looking for. It is pricey, though.
