Today I heard an ad by a roof-construction company that gives away an extended insurance against roof leaks to all of its new clients. The important thing is - the insurance comes from an established insurance company, not the vendor itself, so this is not just a vendor's warranty.
Given that third-party insurances appear in all kinds of proposed business models in ancap world, I got curious - what are anecdotal examples of businesses relying on existence of trusted (re-)insurance companies (except insuring themselves - thus "third-party")?
