This speech by Woods is fantastic. Recommend it very much. Definitely worth the 1 hour. There are a bunch of great spots which I will highlight:
1) 6:15 - 9:05 - great and emotional explanation of iPencil - a video that could easily be shown in a classroom.
2) 11:11 - 11:46 - why the poor were poor historically
3) If we impose the entire Federal regulations Register on Bangladesh, would they all suddenly work in high-paid, safe, air-conditioned offices? Of course not. They'd be unemployed because no one could afford it.
4) 15:14 - 15:33 - rich get richer and the poor get poorer
5) 26:11 - 27:00 - private regulations impossible absurdity
6) 27:00 - 27:36 - joke about private vs. govt regulation
7) 33:40 - 34:03 - Regulations would have saved us absurdity
8) 34:43 - 37:22 - Greenspan worship plus joke (joke comes 35:35 - 36:15, but the context is nice)
9) 46:54 - 47:23 - Feel good joke
Definitely DO WATCH.
And I want to bump this because I made a lot of new threads :P
The point about Native Americans was a real eye-opener.
