I saw a clip of some (fortunately staged) people verbally harassing a couple of individual old people in the street. There were no threats of violence, just put-downs. Let's say that these people followed the old person as long as they could in public space and continued. How would the NAP address this? What I've come up with: Since it's just verbal put-downs, it's not a volation of the NAP, so the old person has no justification for using force. The old person could thus learn how to ignore it. In a society with all private ownership, owners of streets/sidewalks could take action against harassers, since their customers wouldn't like it if they tolerated it.
Yeah, I can imagine rules against stalking on the streets.
NAP or not, sometimes you just get your ass kicked, and nobody really has a problem with it.
