Can anyone suggest good books for someone who has no applied knowledge of game theory or mechanism design? I can understand the conclusions of most papers on the subject, but the proofs and details are currently over my head.

Thanks.

I haven't really taken the time to look into the subject, besides reading one or two articles linked to it at MarginalRevolution and Mises.org. I linked some of them in the reading list - maybe contact their authors? They should have a good idea of where to follow up on the matter. If you find anything, let me know.
