are there corporations that lobby for deregulation as we would understand it?  If so, is this considered to be the gaining of a rent, is it also really patronizing the services of the gov. (as a law producer) or is it getting the gov. to ignore its service (as a law producer)?

Thanks for any answers!

If it is simultaneously lobbying for other firms not to be exempted, it is rent-seeking.

Freedom of markets is positively correlated with the degree of evolution in any society...
