I put a hidden field and horizontal rule just testing features randomly. I thought the hidden field was going to be one of those "/spoiler" type things. Anyhow, I tried to preview and my post was blank. Then I removed it and realized preview is just broken.
There are some things I really like about this compared to the old one.
Some things I would like added/changed:
I could come up with tons more minor tweaks, but as a temporary thing this is way better than having to type html. Are you going to work up from this or is it just temp. related to (whatever the forum software is anyhow) being upgraded? CK editor I linked above is newer and the UI looks better. FCK was abandoned IIRC.
The "Quote" button at the bottom of the gray box above the editor is broken, by the way.
If I wrote it more than a few weeks ago, I probably hate it by now.

You can still type in
quote user="username"
inside [brackets] then the quote then "/quote" in brackets.
Also there is a convenient new quote button above the font and size dropdown with a " icon.
