LOL is all I can say.
"If we wish to preserve a free society, it is essential that we recognize that the desirability of a particular object is not sufficient justification for the use of coercion."
awesome vids y'all.
Where there is no property there is no justice; a proposition as certain as any demonstration in Euclid
Fools! not to see that what they madly desire would be a calamity to them as no hands but their own could bring
I thought of a phrase today: "They are called Political 'Parties' because all decisions are made drunk and without regard for the consequences"
"Drunk" on booze or power probably needs no distinguishing.
Just thought of another: "Socialism is just Common Cents" --hrm could turn that into a T-shirt.

Hahaha, did you make that up?
Well the thought came through my head but honestly I have no idea if I had heard it previously.
I'm sorry. I just had to. Take note of the title before you see it.

I don't think its wise to say you invested in silver over the internet. But a friend and cousin of mine bought silver at $20/oz :)
Hmm... its difficult. Not just heads of state but anyone you don't know. There's no one question that speak for itself. Off the top of my head, I'm between: 1) Have you ever had a publicized debate with a professional economist? Why not? <Because they don't know economics and rely on their advisors> But there are many different schools of economic thought, so how do you pick which advisors to listen to if you don't know economics? 2) The federal government is a cartel agreement between states so they can collude and raise prices. Why not secede, offer better services in the state, and attract more citizens/taxpayers?
Snarky question: "Why isn't your head rolling right now?"
what's a purpose of this thread? Anyway, I'll just post a response I got from one guy on YouTube.
I was saying something like: If state is necessary because people get health support, roads etc, then mafia is necessary too by your own standards. After all you get protection...
He responded: ...the difference between paying protection money to the mob and paying taxes should be apparent to you. If a shopkeeper refuses to pay the protection money, his shop mysteriously burns down. You pay taxes to make sure that we have: roads, sewers, sidewalks, education, police, fire departments, garbage collection.... You should get an award for the most fucked up analogy. The mafia is a necessary evil. ROFLMFAO
I then wrote this: if you don't pay taxes, you mysteriously get PUT in JAIL and if you resist you mysteriously get SHOT. That's what you saying? I agree with you that some services are useful, but just because they are useful doesn't follow that some people have a right to point a gun at me and demand money for those services if there weren't written contract. Did you sign any contract? I don't think so. Neither did I. It's only the myth of "social contract". If you wanna learn more, PM me.
Yeah... I know it's worthless to debate on YouTube... it's my guilty pleasure.. no one EVER has written a PM to me and demanded clarification or more info on the subject. They all are trolls. (like me.. sometimes)
(english is not my native language, sorry for grammar.)
what's a purpose of this thread?
It's just videos/links that don't really deserve their own separate threads and we don't clog the site with useless traffic.
if you don't pay taxes, you mysteriously get PUT in JAIL and if you resist you mysteriously get SHOT.
Haha, perfect response.
Hey, its good to know you're out there engaging the oppositin.

I got his response again... public again..
His response: ...you say that some of the services provided are useful. Tell me which ones are NOT useful. Nobody is pointing any gun at you. Not even metaphorically. If you don't want roads, water, schools and everything else, then fuck off to a cabin in the woods. Nobody is forcing you to stay where you live. You and Redemtion2XK should stop whining and build a tree fort together.
..............................................................................................
Notice how he is still isn't aware of the gun in the room. It's brilliant how blind a person should be to not see this simple similarity between mafia and a state. Oh wait.. so if the gun is concealed, then it's ok? And he then goes if usual statis mantra - love it or leave it.. But even if I really live in a woods, Stat would STILL demand money in some way or the other, there is no way out.

I'm hoping this happens if he ever debates Murphy.
EDIT: I'll go ahead and add this new article, too.
"...you say that some of the services provided are useful. Tell me which ones are NOT useful. Nobody is pointing any gun at you. Not even metaphorically. Hmm. The Weaver family at Ruby Ridge lived in a cabin in the woods, to homeschool the children and escape what they saw as a corrupt world. The mother got shot in the head through the front door while holding her baby. Was no one pointing a gun at them? Where'd the bullets come from? Perhaps the FBI sniper outside? The one who's manslaughter charges were dropped? Not to mention the son that was killed ealier. Or the other family members that were wounded or killed. Or even the dogs, the first of the casualties.
You also never stated a desire for a lack of roads, water, schools, or any of those services. You stated a desire that they be provided through mutual consent. The difference is night and day. People on youtube... but what can I say, I argue (as civilly as possible, of course) with them too :)
Righteous government, or the righteous lack thereof, is not the producer of a righteous society, it is the product of one.
You can't have my guns, but I'd be glad to give you my bullets...
"You also never stated a desire for a lack of roads, water, schools, or any of those services. You stated a desire that they be provided through mutual consent. The difference is night and day."
Even if he didn't want roads et al. he would still be forced to pay for them through taxation. But like you said, it's YouTube lol.
Its not hypocritical to use roads and sidewalks. They aren't government property. It is stolen property. It is either unowned, or owned in common. I'm allowed to use things that were stolen from me, even if they're no longer in their original form.

A simple reminder: before using your right to be silent, you have to SAY (explicitely) that you are using this right. Otherwise, you will be convicted for not co-operating. Funny, isn't it?
Hilarious clip, Nielsio.
Just saw it too :D
"Government gives you everything, it protects you! (from what?) From invasion!"
Finally figured out how to embed these youtubes. Thanks Brian.
Edward, take the spaces out of the code and the video will work.
This is very strange, a missle launch off the california coast.

What do you guys think it is? Would it realy be Barry brandishing his firearms for his buddies in Asia?
Here is an interesting index of consumer prices that I found researching prices in 19th century America: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:aFgpZx2mbeYJ:qrc.depaul.edu/Excel_Files/Prices/McCusker.xls+john+mccuscker+cpi&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
This is the only measure I know of since the CPI only began in 1914.
The medical marijuana proposition in Arizona. Still unofficial, but they have to count 60,000 votes by tomorrow...
Kind of had to squish it or it wouldn't have fit.
They should use this as one of those "unmotivational" posters for the failure of democracy.
After seeing what a medical marijuana lobby does in California, I think I might just have voted "no" in Arizona on that particular measure...
Screw you, you hippy quack, if I can't have a blaze after dinner, then you can't get rich off prescribing it to sick people. :p
Hmm, I see what you mean about the failure of democracy.
What do you mean 'what a medical marijuana lobby does in California'?
There's another forum i frequent with a lot of lefties on it who want pot legalized. I asked them after the failure of prop 19 if they still support democracy as a means of social change, to which they remained completely silent :0
