Fantastic video by Stargazer5781:
wow
I figured this should go here. Given that today is Reagan's 100th birthday, I posted an article from LRC by Rothbard on Reagan on Facebook. This is what happened:

It's worth a chuckle in my opinion
Blueline, if they're going to lead you around like that you need to constantly recap and remind them that you're winning. You can't let them change the subject. You do it a couple of times but if you persisted, the ending to the conversation would have been less lame. In all liklihood, he would have had to give up and just stop posting altogether. Even if he had said something like "Hurr durr I'm done with this conversation", you should still reply "Well I've expertly answered all your objections and defended why a free market advocate might negatively view RR. So yes you are done with this conversation."

Indeed. I find myself being led to different topics than the one being discussed all the time, and while I can sometimes realize "alright, this has nothing to do with the original topic," there are too many times when I don't. It's something I need to work on.
Though if I had to make up an excuse for not being focused: I think I just wanted to have a bit of fun with him, heh.
I made some Mises 4komas.
There are a lot of in-jokes here. Like Mises liked opera, his brother was a famous mathematician, Murray wasn't so good with spending habits, the story of Mises talking about the empiricists in Vienna, Mises had a very large personal library, the kind of music Jeffrey Tucker and Walter Block like, Doug French's opinion on charities, Jeffrey Tucker's opinion on microlending, who Bettina Bien Greaves was, etc..

Haha, I'm glad you can have fun doing that. Whenever I get into internet arguments about politics I get so mad. I focus on keep asking them questions they can't answer, and, just like was stated above, reminding them that they're losing and that they still haven't answered the original question. Otherwise you start answering their questions, they bring tangents into the mix, etc. In my opinion, it's so much more fun making people look stupid in person when there's an audience.
Clicking the top link came up with a computer virus. I don't know if it's just me.
That should be fixed now.
Libertarians are selfish!
Freedom has always been the only route to progress.
This wasn't bad. Not bad at all.
I had a strange reflex reaction, Libertyandlife. The moment I heard "libertarians", I closed the video.
I never realized it, but I really hate that word. It's an annoying, annoying, and stupid word. Why can't they just call themselves liberal, or maybe not even call themselves anything?
It's a satirical video, go watch it, it's a great youtube channel.
Libertarian is a much more defined word. Liberal is so abstract. Plus, whenever you say 'liberal' in the United States, it usually means 'progressive'.
Just a couple things I saw on Google News today that made me facepalm:
"To understand President Obama's speech to the US Chamber of Commerce Monday morning, it's helpful to think of the president as an aggrieved parent and the business community as the teenager who's sick and tired of the rules of the house."
My reaction: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF--

Those 4koma made me laugh. In return:

Yeah, same here. I can't believe all of the propaganda I've been fed from capitalist roaders all these years!
My favorite part is when it says, "China became the first country in the world to successfully synthesize insulin", and my next favorite part was looking on Wikipedia to find "the first synthetic insulin was produced simultaneously in the labs of Panayotis Katsoyannis at the University of Pittsburgh and Helmut Zahn at RWTH Aachen University in the early 1960s".

Brian Anderson:Michael Pawlyn: Using nature's genius in architecture
Did you post this because it's scary and stupid, or because you agree? Seems like just another leftist finite-earther rambling on about a solar economy.
There is obviously much that can and will be learned from nature. Who can disagree with that? I would think that argument could only arise if someone was to suppose that government should intervene to 'promote' or 'guide' such projects.
nirgrahamUK:I would think that argument could only arise if someone was to suppose that government should intervene to 'promote' or 'guide' such projects.
That's always what they're implying. When was the last time you heard a leftist say, "it's crucial to get off fossil fuels and start a solar economy and we're going to do this with the free market"? No, they're always talking about some huge social engineering project. Socialism for the earth.
