Yet another atheist who replaced god with the state.

Oh come on, Terroja "TheAmazingAtheist" Jackson is quite funny when not talking about politics and talking about casual issues.

I was actually surprised to learn that despite his extensive facial hair, he is not nearly as old as he looks. He was still in high school during the time when his channel was getting off and becoming moderately popular. And currently, it is unlikely if he is even a college senior. So for a young person, he is quite intelligent, although that's precisely the reason you should cut him some slack.

Contra Terroja, one person much older than he looks is Lee "HowTheWorldWorks" Doren, who seems like he is in high school, but is actually a practicing lawyer who also takes classes.

They both had a brief rivalry, you see.

Seen this guy a few times before. Never found him that 'amazing'. Blatant eisegesis of the Danbury letter is one more tick against him.

Regardless of age, people who are ignorant of an issue and vociferous in opinion should be reprimanded and exposed for such careless, public display's of stupidity.

YouTube users who are ignorant of an issue and vociferous in opinion should be reprimanded.

Do you REALLY believe that?

Wow, good point Prat.  Missed that one.  That is one of those posts that usually signal this thread is one I ought not have entered

Does the forum somehow change the quality of the argument or its effects?  Do you really believe that?

Ex-socialist philosopher James Burnham once said, "Where there was no solution, there was no problem."

Are ignorant statements on YouTube a "problem"?

If you read this post, you will die. If you don't read this post, you will still die. Eventually. This post has no effect on whether or not you die. That happens either way.

Similarly, calling out Terroja Jackson, who probably gets hundreds of hate mails in his PM every day, or calling out any YouTuber for ignorance will not reduce the quantity of ignorance on YouTube.

Thus, there is no solution to ignorance on YouTube.

Therefore, YouTube ignorance is not a problem.

You could just point out a fact or correct an error.  No need to assume the worst (or anything else) in a person, certainly no need to call them ignorant.  It isn't very polite.

Really? What little I've seen from him is incredibly grating. It makes total sense that the guy is barely in his 20s: he has the naive bravado of a kid who thinks he's got it all - or at least, a great part of it - figured out.

Does allowing the propagation of false or ignorant statements to others who may become convinced of such false/ignorant statements as a result, hurt the dissemination of factual/accurate statements in areas and among people who would otherwise never be exposed to such ideas before or after?

Fair enough point William, although my agitation sometimes surfaces in my comments; apologies in advance.

Some atheists aren't content to know that Christianity is faulty- they intend to replace it with their own religious vision, usually some variant of secular humanism as preached in public schools.

Prateek Sanjay:
calling out any YouTuber for ignorance will not reduce the quantity of ignorance on YouTube.

That's a pretty bold statement.

Thus, there is no solution[...] Therefore, [it] is not a problem.

That has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

For anyone who is interested, as was mentioned earlier in this thread, this idiot made the mistake of attacking one of his betters a couple years ago and got some great responses.  They're long, but I highly recommend them.  They not only provide great material for combating many of the nonsense arguments that get thrown about by leftists,  but are also quite entertaining and satisfying.

Expert Ignorance

Then of course, a year later, the idiot decided to make another ill-informed nonsense piece called "Free Market Capitalism FAILS"...and needed to have his ass handed to him again.  And again it would seem.

And just for good measure, here's a nice one where Doren sets another pair of popular youtubers straight...this time on health care.  (And by "popular" I mean each of these channels that he responds to has over 100,000 subscribers.  The one below has almost half a million alone.  People see this stuff.)

Re: I OWN WARNER CHILCOTT!

(P.S.  He's also done some excellent critiques on the "Story of ____" videos by GreenPeace hack Annie Leonard that have gotten him attention on CNN and Fox News, as well as over a million views.   Full Playlist)

I'm struggling to understand why the possibility of an extreme minority of the population (and predominantetly rich urban gentiles, at that) being granted special partnership recognition and the ability to adopt is of critical importance to the Union. Is this guy fearing some kind of Elian Gonzalez situation, with Massacheusetts state troopers clashing with their equivalents in Rhode Island over whether Heather Who Has Two Mommies can get the "family" discount at the movie theatre?

The logical conclusion of this line of thinking is world government. After all, if it is improper for Wyoming and Delaware to have differing policies on the legal status of homosexual unions, why is it then proper for Canada and the US, Belgium and Poland, China and Thailand or Yemen and Egypt to be so?

Even in my "militant atheism period" (2 years ago) I found him (TAA) irritating and boring. I'd rather watch Ken Ham. Actually, I started to hate majority of outspoken atheists on YouTube for their arrogance and lack of sympathy. I was and a little bit am sometimes like that too...
