Didnt he die like ten years ago?

Does anyone else feel that this is not super important, as regardless of how influential he may be, it is just one person- the organization lives on.

Jonathan, I was watching Fox News' coverage and the U.S. general analyst assured us that there is "hard fight" remaining in the Middle East.

According to Spanish-language television, bin Laden invented terrorism and even created its Wiki page.

Predictions: The war that was never a war in Afghanistan will end (occupation will continue, thus, continuing the war that is not a war but is not a war so its not a war even though it is a war), but Gaddafi will escalate terrorism even though the spawner of terrorism (bin Laden) is dead although bin Laden is probably not dead, although he probably died ten years ago; so, the warring will switch to Lybia although its not a war since it was not declared but is a war nevertheless although its not a war but it is.

I'm kind of heartened because half of my Facebook friends are posting stuff like "Well, it only too 10 years and hundreds of thousands dead!" and "Hey I guess we can repeal the PATRIOT act now!"

Now lets watch to see how Obama does if the economy implodes in the next two years.

Not my facebook friends lol. It's all Obama supporters having a tardgasm. "Go Obama!" kind of stuff. I mean the hypocrisy is astounding not to mention the idiocy of it all.

"It must somehow foster the impression that a man is great in the degree that his nation is great; that a German as such is superior to a Belgian as such; an Englishman, to an Irishman; an American, to a Mexican: merely because the first-named countries are in each case more powerful than their comparatives. And people who have no individual stature whatsoever are willing to accept this poisonous nonsense because it gives them a sense of importance without the trouble of any personal effort." -Felix Morley

BTW, remember the grotesque parading of bodies of Uday and Quasy Hussein on television in 2003?

What, we don't get a video of the shot up body this time? Maybe just the head on a spike?

Yes, this is very unfortunate. A large part of the country is going to trade all rationale thought for a baseless pride in something they didn't accomplish that was mostly irrelevant to them. I wonder how this will affect elections.

That's a departure from the rule-book (The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism)... Emmanuel Goldstein is never supposed to die.

I just feel sorry for whoever they actually did kill. Osama's been dead since Dec. 2001.
