Deficit question - please correct me

i believe that Obama raised the budget 1 trillion dollars in his first budget - aside from the " stimulus" money..  that was only two years ago - what the hell was that spent on and why can't we just "delete" his increase and move on?? I have tried to find detailed line by line spending on the inter-web - no luck yet..

also sadly i have noticed both libertarian and "conservative" pundits fall into the trap that cuts are going to be or have to be painful. the politicos alwasy say that not a dollar can be cut with out hurting the most fragile amoungst us - why do they get away with this crap?? I truly believe there is so much waste, corruption, duplication, theft and inefficianies - that the budget could be cut by 50% and the average american't would barly notice....  i'm mad as hell and have no choice but to take it!!!
