The mention of oil consumption and implied peak oil in this recent thread made me think of this...

Rockwell's blog linked to MAPPING STEREOTYPES PROJECT by artist Yanko Tsvetkov.

I love this kind of art, reminds me of the work of Yazmani Arborleda who did THE ASSASIGNATION OF BARACK OBAMA and HILLARY CLINTON a few years ago.

Hilarious to some, offensive to many, but hopefully enlightening to a few.

American Vs Swedish Military Recruitment Ads

[v iew:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWqT8Rljt_8:640:385]

The two ads are selling very different things. The American one is selling the feeling of pride and courage within the soldier--excuse me Marine™--, while the Swedish ad is selling the helping of others so that they can have lives like the Swedes. Perhaps this is why American military is very righteous and probably the most dangerous--they believe they are doing what is righteous and it's all about how they feel. Whereas, the Swedes are trying to stop violence in other places, but there's actually hope that they would realize that their attempts are futile because the Americans are over there causing the whole mess.

To paraphrase Marc Faber: We're all doomed, but that doesn't mean that we can't make money in the process.
Rabbi Lapin: "Let's make bricks!"
Stephan Kinsella: "Say you and I both want to make a German chocolate cake."

Imaginary property propaganda video. It's funny as hell. It's like showing war, murder and nuclear bombs and calling it "that's what voluntaryism is! Support the state!"

Some of those comments are pretty awesome.  Even more encouraging is the rating meter.  It may sound crazy, but people are actually catching on to IP reality.

I thought this was a bit funny.

I love the way the woman asking about neckties is portrayed as curious and confused, as opposed to snappy and sarcastic, like the person who actually said that.

And I guarantee the guy who created this looks exactly as he is portrayed in that opening panel.

I picture him looking like that, but also wearing birkenstocks.

Where's the libertarian version of this?  Having trouble finding it (the one attacking libertarians and the libertarian rebuttal).

My grandaddy had three kidneys and donated one. My neighbor had two kidneys and sold one for $15k to make improvements on his house ... lol ... sad but true. I hear folks in India are selling theirs for $30k? Wonder what they'll fetch in the USSA?

More hypocrisy from statists who masquerade as liberty lovers...

Today:

Same channel, 2009:

(and again that same year)

Comment thread on the first video:

  • Oh I see. So this was just a display of decency and class in the treatment of a sitting congresswoman...

    /watch?v=sr56_qxmejQ

    • @mikerotcherson That is MUCH different. Jimmy Fallon introduced Michelle Bachmann in an incredibly inappropriate way on national television. Thats a video on youtube, and is nothing more than his personal opinion. Big difference.

    • @wiegraf37  Right, because decency is completely dependent upon how publicized the act is. Thanks for showing your true excuses-making selective bias colors.

(And that video has over 150,000 views. I wouldn't be surprised if that's more than a typical episode of Fallon's show. Plus it's on youtube...meaning it's exposure can only grow.)

    • @mikerotcherson it was a satire you dope, she wasnt introduced to it on live television

    • @XxxxExclusivexxxX  Oh I get it! It's different when Crowder makes a mockery of a sitting congresswoman, because HE's a "comedian"!

Wait a sec...where have I heard something like that before?...

      /watch?v=3OwhnFP_Ddk

    • @mikerotcherson there is no comparison between a political commentary on YouTube and a blatant show of disrespect for someone on a corporate produced show on national television, that every aspect of was meticulously planned, and that was seen and approved by many people who had the power to stop what occurred, and none whom had the decency to do so.

    • @Clowd009 "a blatant show of disrespect for someone that every aspect of was meticulously planned, and that was seen and approved by many people who had the power to stop what occurred, and none whom had the decency to do so."

      Oh...Kind of like Crowder's video?

      /watch?v=sr56_qxmejQ

    • @mikerotcherson you Bush is made fun of in half of all politcal youtube videos and nobody flinches but when one is made about pelosi your all up in arms about it? Please, don't be a hypocrite.

    • @nnlamb25  Ironic you should mention the word hypocrite.

I'm not the one who just put up a 4 minute video berating people for making fun of a sitting congresswoman and romanticizing about how full of decency and class I and my fellow ideologues are...after having made fun of a sitting congresswoman myself in the same meticulously planned manner.

But way to wear those blinders!

There is a new Austrian school started soon. Who would have thought that during the beginning of this century there wasn't something new coming out of Vienna that may revolutionize the world. So when writing about an Austrian school you now have to distinguish between:

- of course an economical school
- a philisophical school
- a psychological school
- a musical school
- an ethnological school
- and now the AISOS = Austrian International School of Sex!

hehe ... ;)

"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes, qui custodes custodient? Was that right for 'Who watches the watcher who watches the watchmen?' ? Probably not. Still...your move, my lord." Mr Vimes in THUD!

(canna get anotha yeah for overly intricate explanations)
