It's a joke. The forums haven't worked properly in the past 2 years, so whenever someone points out that something doesn't work, we say it's a new feature.

I had this problem recently. When you lose your current avatar it means you succesfully changed your avatar; for some reason there is a delay between then and it actually showing up. Till then your posts will show no avatar. Took me about two days before mines showed up.

I don't suppose we could switch to Phbb or a new forum system? Anything other than this thing. Well, other than this thing and the 'new community' forum they launched awihle ago. The present one is simply full with so errors that I'm tempted to think Bernanke is involved.

Okay, I was actually able to change my avatar. Downloading the image from your computer won't work. You have to link the image to a URL.
