@Porco: The low-content threads are not about F4M or any individual poster - if you take a gander at past low-content threads over the last 3 months or so, as much as 50% of the thread is cluttered with links and videos that only F4M (and perhaps yourself) care about. Instead of this clutter, we've created a dedicated anti-civ thread. Please post your commiserations with F4M over there.

Citizen's United Productions (yes, that Citizens United) says Occupy movement is highly organized, well funded project of Soros and liberal media in new documentary...
Occupy Unmasked
Ya don't say.
"In one of the incidents, DOJ officials allege Richardson and White agreed to have Duane Eleby, 28, one of the accused couriers, bring about five kilos of cocaine through a checkpoint being attended by White. But Eleby failed to follow White’s instructions and stood in the wrong line. TSA screeners there, who were not involved in the scheme, seized his bag, which was filled with cocaine."
Lol fail.
Sure you've heard of Trayvon Martin. Did you hear about this?
Bahahaha
Guess he'll be slow jamming the news with Fallon too.
Okay, they do a lot of great video, but crap like this really doesn't do much to keep me from leaning in the direction of everyone who says they're a shill faux libertarian organization which is really working kind of against the cause.
What in the hell is their obsession with Gary Johnson? Sure, he's an okay guy as far as politicians go, but evidently he's not even a very good libertarian. The more Reason does crap like this the more I'm persuaded that they're not fully in this. (Not to mention the almost palpable apprehension they always seem to have with talking about Ron Paul...almost as if they don't want to be cliche, or to be branded as "Paulites".) But I guess that's a good thing. Who would have ever thought that Ron Paul would become so popular that people end up talking up Gary Johnson to try and sound cool and non-conformist.
Ron Paul doesn't need any other celebrities or gimmicks to bring the house down. Here are some kids climbing trees to see into Ron Paul's UCLA rally after being turned away with 1,000 others because the event was already full (security capacity maxed out):
How many people have climbed trees to see Obama or Mitt Romney?
Well this is refreshing...
Romney = Obama. Finally, Americans Are Waking Up to Ron Paul!
"Of Course We're Falling All Over Ourselves": MSM Gush Over Obama's Jimmy Fallon Skit
"Romney = Obama."
When history looks back at the period from 2000-2016 they won't be able to find a significant difference in the actions of any of the presidents.

It's amusing that they call a government "collapsed" when it's just changing who the prime minister is.
Beavis and Butthead Love Joe Biden
I get where he's coming from. I get that kind of enjoyment too. But I'm not sure it would be enough if I didn't think it could do anything to improve things. I'd still want to understand the world, but I'm not sure it would be as enjoyable. I think I would have to look elsewhere to get the same level of satisfaction.
Hoppe on "why fight for liberty"
+1 Hoppe
I get that level of satisfaction from the truth - just understanding the true nature of things is satisfying on such a deep level that it is worth the effort simply for its own sake. I think this has to do with the way it minimizes the suffering and difficulties in life by placing them in their true perspective. The fact that I am beaten by the cop is much less painful when I am not also laboring under the false belief that he has a moral right and duty to "punish" me for "my sins." The pain he can inflict upon me is strictly limited to the strikes and subsequent bruises.
You were beaten by a cop?
It is a few months old it may have already been posted before, sorry about that, i just came across it though.
I think a bunch of the allegations were refuted. But I don't really feel too compelled to protect them, given that they don't merely employ market means.
Can anyone help me find an article? It's regarding IP and in it the author (Kinsella) states that Queen Elizabeth would grant open letters, an open letter known in Latin as patente, which would grant a merchant monopoly privileges to do something. There were also some laws passed to enforce as much, but I forget their names.
If I had a cake and ate it, it can be concluded that I do not have it anymore. HHH
"It was easy for state and church to control thought by controlling the scribes, but then the printing press came along and the authorities worried that they couldn't control official thought as easily. So Queen Mary created the Stationer's Company in 1557, with the exclusive franchise over book publishing, to control the press and what information the people could access."
Is that the one?
Yes. Thanks, John James.
@bloomj: Fortunately, I have so far managed to avoid being victimzed by the State in that particular way. But I'd gladly trade what I have been put through for a simple beating.
So earlier I posted about the Citizens United movie alleging the Occupy movement is run by Soros and company. Now Adbusters, the organization that launched the Occupy movement, is stepping up its warning on attempts by Obama operatives to co-opt the movement....
...and now a third warning.
Adbusters Going Crazy Over New 99% Movement
"If I wanted America to fail"
Awesome video!
He's such a victim of the "so close, yet so far away" phenomenon (not unlike Jared Diamond) that I wonder if he does more harm than good with stuff like this.

I don't think it's necessarily the best way to present it by saying the parts of life we're most dissatisfied with are "non-profit", but other than that, this is quite useful. I've always liked William's examples for illustrating the concept. His "prove to me you've helped your fellow man" one is definitely a favorite.
This covers it a little more...
Walter Williams is always awesome - that said, I think it's crucial to always point out that the entrepreneur has no automatic guarantee of profits. It is not only love of profits that motivates the entrepreneur but also fear of losses. The housing collapse and bailouts are a perfect illustration of how crucially important the fear of losses is for imposing discipline on entrepreneurs.
420 Freedom Celebration
@F4M: That's not news, it's not even the first time you've posted that specific item in this thread. You do realize that such behavior really makes you appear trollish?
Freedom4Me73986. You promised to never post another NH or FSP-related topic on here again. You have broken this promise probably around 10 times or more already.
As Clayton has pointed out, this latest one is even a repeat of a previous video of the same dumbass event. Please honor your promise and stop posting this crap that no one even watches.
Go live in the woods.
