I'm curious as to where those in the Mises community get their news.
Do any of you follow a particular journalist or organization that you believe does an exceptional job of reporting? I'm looking for fair, quality reporting by reputable individuals.
I like websites that have e-mail updates and newsletters so I don't have to check each page i.e. I get them in my inbox. Note: I use Mises.org, LewRockwell.com, Anti-War.com etc. The typical sources from our philosophical neck of the woods. I'm especially looking for people and organizations who come from different political philosophies.
Here's a start, I check these guys out on the regular. I'll post a few example pieces of their work too:
[Glenn Greenwald @ Salon] - I think Glenn, a classical liberal leaning Progressive(I think), does a very good job, he's very detailed and I believe very fair.

[Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting] - I read their e-mail newsletter each week, they usually critique others.

You realize how much you're asking for, right?
Again, Jake Tapper tends to be as good as you're going to get in mainstream media. And I'm not sure if he fits all of your criteria all the time. Neil Cavuto seems to be pretty fair most of the time. John Stossel is excellent, but he does longer form consumer reporting. Which leads to another question...what kind of reporting are we talking about?

I mean, the black guy who always goes after Skip Bayless on Sports Center seems pretty down to Earth...but somehow I doubt that's something you're interested in.
Ben Swann may be as good as a reporter can get, but he just does the Realty Check segment on a local Fox affiliate.
Robert Wenzel at EconPolicyJournal is really prolific and quite reputable, but he's not exactly a journalist, and doesn't do conventional reporting.
Timothy P. Carney puts out some good stuff at the Washington Examiner, but that's just political reporting.
TechDirt.com offers pretty quality tech reporting but, it's tech reporting.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Drudge Report. I also use lewrockwell.com and of course this forum!
Probably because the Drudge Report generally doesn't report anything, nor does it do any real journalism. It's an aggregator. Basically a Digg or Reddit run by 3 people.
I still don't get how people don't get this.
Well Drudge does report a couple articles himself about once or twice a year . I was just pointing it out a source for news. He does post a few relevant headlines that change throughout the day. It's a good way to a get a quick picture of really big news. I mostly rely on here actually for the lesser known but still important things. If it's important, someone here almost always brings it up.
