The PRC is fond of referring to its political system, quite honestly, as 'socialism with Chinese characteristics'. What's everyone say to the idea of extending this trope to all nations' systems of government? The USA's is 'socialism with American characteristics', Germany's is 'socialism with German characteristics‘, Japan's is 'socialism with Japanese characteristics', England's is 'socialism with British characteristics', etc. And all political parties could simply be known as "The Party", or where more clarity is needed: "The First/Second/Third American/German/Japanese/British Socialist Party". So the Republicans would be "The First American Socialist Party", and the Democrats "The Second American Socialist Party", etc.
So you're advocating... national socialism...? >_>
He's not advocating it. Come on, man.
Haha, it was a joke :)
Yeah, that'd be more correct, I think. But in my view, most nations today are closer to fascism.

This is true, of course, and minus the racial component of german fascism, but if you say it people's reason goes right out the window. Sad really, as it's quite accurate to say the the modern world has accepted fascism over socialism, and that those two were never very dissimilar in the first place.

Sadder yet is to see almost everyone blaming capitalism for our today problems, like we lived under capitalism...If someone wants to find out if propaganda is in fact powerful, he/she don't need to look very far.
Propaganda is aided however by most people's disinterest in political theory in general. They couldn't tell a socialist from a fascist if it taxed them in the face :P

Yeah, don't tell me. Here in Brazil people live their lifes "a soccer game after another". It's all about that really, the wrold is falling apart but all that they really care about is who is winning the championship, and that's all they talk about. In general, at least.
Sports is the modern opiate of the masses :P
