What was that thing that he was going through right after the 2000 election where he got all fat and was touring the country giving speeches where he would be screaming at the top of his lungs, turning red in the face??? WTF? Was it a nervous breakdown? Mid-life crisis?

The circles approximate the golden spiral, which is a reference to my username (phi). If you trace quarter sections of the circles but move to the next circle for a quarter, you will trace out the approximation of nature's fundamental pattern. wink

I never noticed that they kind of look that way. I suppose that is all a crescent is, right? Except most crescents have a circle that intersects a circle at two points, whereas these only intersect at one.

If you look closely, they look like they do intersect at two different points, and that what looks like where they would intersect at one point is really just the side of another crescent.

Well, not being in office he could now afford to try to appeal more to his preferred group - far left environmentalists. who usually wear beards and chant in circles.

Mine is of Captain Beefheart, the only guy who could make Zappa look like a conservative rocker.  His career resembles Mises' in a way, since both of them were singing tunes only a few could hear.

I KNEW IT!!  I only doubted myself because that is such a random dude to pick.  But your avatar always bothered the hell out of me, because Ididn't know who else it could be.

Yeah, I picked the name first and then decided that he went with it. I've been thinking of changing the photo to make it more recognizable.
