Police Recover Celebs Stolen Iphones/Ipads, but Not Regular People's

Steve Job's Ipad was stolen.  It was recovered.  Why are police able to recover celebritie's stolen ipads and iphones, but when my wife had her iphone stolen and it was used several times to make long distance phone calls, they cannot do anything?

Celebrities are too high-profile for the police to ignore. A lot more people would hear about the police neglecting or abusing a celebrity than would hear about them neglecting or abusing a non-celebrity.

Well yeah the government can always do everything better than the market; the market is just a concession to the lower impulses of man - kind of like how we allow people to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes.
