When it is convenient for the communist to speak in the collective he will, but when it is not convenient then the government contains only individuals that as a collective have no liability.

The difference between private and public schools is that the private schools are voluntary. The state is the mechanism that enabled racism to become institutionalised racism and segregation and ultimately ethnic cleansing.

I don't think the article was misguided at all, it seemed correct and well researched. I am not Canadian and have not done that much research in to it but I have watched a documentary that was specifically about it and I think it is a good example of how the power of government can be used in such a way.

The article does not say that there is no individual liability or that racism and abuse can not occur in the private sector.

Old joke but i think it has been updated.

Analysis of economic reality 2012 !

SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
You give one to your neighbour.

COMMUNISM
You have 2 cows
The State takes both and gives you some milk.

FASCISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk.

BUREAUCRATISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other and then throws the
milk away.

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income.

VENTURE CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of
credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a
debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all
four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows.
The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a
Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who
sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on
one more.

AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows.
Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has dropped dead.

A FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike, organize a riot, and block the roads, because you want
three cows.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows, but you don’t know where they are.
You decide to have lunch.

A SWISS CORPORATION
You have 5,000 cows. None of them belong to you.
You charge the owners for storing them.

A CHINESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim that you have full employment and high bovine productivity.
You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You worship them.

A BRITISH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Both are mad.

AN IRAQI CORPORATION
Everyone thinks you have lots of cows.
You tell them that you have none.
Nobody believes you, so they bomb the crap out of you and invade your
country.
You still have no cows but at least you are now a Democracy.

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Business seems pretty good.
You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION
You have two cows.
The one on the left looks very attractive.

A GREEK CORPORATION
You have two cows borrowed from French and German banks.
You eat both of them.
The banks call to collect their milk, but you cannot deliver so you call
the IMF.
The IMF loans you two cows.
You eat both of them.
The banks and the IMF call to collect their cows/milk.
You are out getting a haircut

Socialism one should be:

You have two cows
The state takes one divides it up and hands it out in return for votes.

Beef Is Beef... HAHAHAHHA. This website is a picture-book lesson in the interaction between government and private industry to create corporatocracy and ram unsafe products, unfit for human consumption, down consumers' throats whether they like it or not.

Note what is really at stake here: not whether Lean Finely Textured Beef is legal or illegal, approved or unapproved (it's still 100% legal and approved for human consumption), but whether LFTB must be identified on consumer packaging. After all, they say, Beef Is Beef! But the fact that anyone cares to know whether LFTB is present, the fact that consumers are uneasy with ammonia in their food

I particularly recommend the video Dr. Acuff Explains Ammonia in Foods to your attention. It is stated at least three or four times that the government/FDA has approved the ammonia process as safe. I guess we're supposed to take that as "case closed." And the sneaky little "interviewer" (aka PR hired gun) says, "so, it's food grade ammonia?" to which the "Dr." Acuff responds "Yes." What the hell is food-grade ammonia? You can drink it? Wash your dishes with it? Take a shower in it? Good God, what a pile of steaming bullshit.

Ask yourself this: If "beef is beef", then why has the very FDA which they would like us to believe is an omniscient God of Food Safety only approved 15% of consumer beef end-product to be comprised of LFTB? If beef is beef, then they should be selling 100% LFTB on the store's shelves, shouldn't they? Given how proud they apparently are of the safety, purity and quality of their product, shouldn't they be trumpeting it from the mountain-tops? So why isn't BPI agitating for this?? There's a simple reason... pure LFTB reeks of ammonia. It is putrid and toxic. Only by mixing it down with 85% ordinary ground beef can they mask the smell. BPI has no interest in selling a 100% pure LFTB product.

What a bunch of lying crooks.

It says that you are 86% Libertarian. Are you ancap? If so, then what does that say about the test.

Btw, many of the questions are tricky. For example, "should the federal government allow the death penalty?" Obviously, there are asking about the states. If you say no, then you are actually pro The State. If you say yes, then are you in favor of the states doing it?

To paraphrase Marc Faber: We're all doomed, but that doesn't mean that we can't make money in the process.

just saw this "home prices in 20 major cities rise to highest level in 9 years, according to new report"

got the info for a news alert from CNN so if you are interested to read the report it should be up there shortly.  Looks like another bubble for sure is brewing.  I think it was last week that home sales are up 8% too.

BBC2 are currently running an economics program called "masters of money"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01mzqw9

episode 1: Keynes
episode 2: Hayek
episode 3: Marx

Not surprising from the state media organisation the BBC, they have selected Keynes and Marx. I also laughed at how the episode summary was phrased. The Keynes is economist, Hayek is a radical free market Economist and Marx is revolutionary and influential. The BBC is disgusting, every documentary they make has a leftist twist to it.

Applying my ipad into school notes/homework for all my classes (even math)

Im officially paperless.  Here is one homework problem that i typed out on how i did it for my notes to study

https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/u/0/?ui=2&ik=1f62346c0c&view=att&th=139fee5f2e873f97&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P8kGT8c8JvDMrh7b9V9O_Ln&sadet=1348601274273&sads=-vyUeXzjVI2SkWYjfWWZPAcF2kc&sadssc=1

I dont know why the image is so small, you are supposed to be able to send your notes to people and they are able to read them, but the image shows up this size and cant be read.

Anyways cool App and i dont need to take anything to my classes besides my ipad.

Why even give these Maoist tools a glance? Maoists have the least credibility of ANYONE. Even China found out about this when they realized they couldn't sustain their authoritarian dictatorship any long and saw potential deriving from the post-war West.

Has anyone watched commanding heights, battle for the world economy?

I watched it before i became acquainted with the austrian school, and i barely remember it now.

I gotta watch it again, might be leftist biased, might be right wing, gotta see....

Judging from the comments though, it looks as if it is free market oriented, so thats good.

Good econ history tho...

I love the feeling of empowerment, of self-worth:

I, too, sing America.

I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.

Tomorrow,
I'll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody'll dare
Say to me,
"Eat in the kitchen,"
Then.

Besides,
They'll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed--

I, too, am America.

Langston Hughes
