Or even if Gary Johnson won, who could they appoint as cabinet members that would pass senate confirmation? Judge Andrew Napolitano? Dr. Tom Woods? Dr. Robert P. Murphy? Just throw some names out there.

As if it weren't hard enough to get someone like that in the White House, I'm pretty passing senate confirmation would quash our dreams entirely. I just had an image of Ron Paul nominating Walter Block to anything...

On a more serious note, I wonder how Jeffrey Tucker would fare, not that he would actually accept a nomination.

I'd want to say that if they somehow won, or if RP won on a write in that they'd prettymuch have the ability to appoint unicorns and dragons if they wanted to, but the truth is no for most people "we" would want in. Woods no, Murphy no, Napolitano, possibly. Perhaps some non-Austrian/anarchist Libertarians with greater credentials could get past appointment, but I doubt that, for instance, more than maybe one or two people who have ever contributed to a Mises Daily or LRC could.

So would he have no cabinet? The reason I asked this question is that my wife was thinking of running in 2016 and I want to know what I need to do in the next 4 years so I can be appointed to a cabinet level position. Its the fastest way to real power. I'm shooting for secstate, secdef, nat'l security advisor, or attorney general.

Why are we hoping to change things from the inside, if we really believe in what we say about how corrupt the system is? Even if Ron Paul magically got all the votes he needed as a write-in, he still wouldn't get it. We saw what the RNC was like. The system doesn't follow it's own rules when we win by following them.

Agorism is seeming more and more preferable.

Gary North? I know he's not popular around here for various reasons, but would he pass confirmation?

I'd get a masters/PHD in something, maybe write a book, and try to organize something or other and hold down a prestigious job of some sort.

Doing that in four years is about as ambitious as your wife running for the presidency so no trouble there.

You guys are helping me to get my share of the plunder, actually. I need my wife as the first female pres to appoint people who wont be competing with me for plunder, while in office.

All of that sounds like the reason I am trying to get my wife elected in the first place, so I can go the easy route.

what if I became an anarchist lawyer, without passing the bar by making all my cases pro se actions? Whats the going rate for a judge, $50k? 10%?

Anyone without principles would immediately start plundering the coffers as soon as they were confirmed. I need libertarians.

When state assets become privatized, I wold like to be first in line. The way to make that happen, is to be the secret manipulator of the privatization process. So in 2018 when they privatize gitmo (after having spent the last two years rebuilding EVERYTHING into a secure palatial resort of the highest standards, no longer a prison but a resort casino) and some little known political appointee with a bunch of titles gets it, you can be like MALACHI is COFER BLACK?!?!! (Just throwing that out there, I'm not cofer black) then you will come back to this thread and somehow, its not there. Because in 2016 LVMI got a governmenr grant for a new web forums on the condition that they purge this post and others like it.
