Some low content, here's a song I recorded about a dead friend and here's a song about my girl friend.  Without paying attention that legally their names are Alex and Alexandra (Ally for short).  For the hell of it I might write a 3rd song about my other friend Alexandra.

SM,

Possibly the most epic thing that I've ever seen in my life. I especially enjoyed the love interest and metaphor.

At last those coming came and they never looked back With blinding stars in their eyes but all they saw was black...

Why thank you good sir.

EDIT

By the way, I called the Oscars about it regarding a possible entry, but the guy on the other line told me that he hoped I stumped my toe. Guess he was having a bad day, or something.

This picture: stare at the dot for about a minute, and try not to blink.  The swhirls around it will start to change over time, and when your done look away.  I'm pretty amazed at this point (probably not good for my eyes).

Verizon has filed a patent for a cable box that will target ads based on what cameras and microphones detect happening in customers’ living rooms.

Google's roving uncle, Eric Schmidt, has sat down with the Wall Street Journal to talk about life and times at Mountain View. When asked about the ongoing saga between Apple and Android manufacturers, Schmidt said "it's extremely curious that Apple has chosen to sue Google's partners and not Google itself." However, rather than an invitation to a back-alley knife-fight, it seems the company chairman is hoping for a peaceful solution to the pair's enmity. He also talks about the real loser in this global patent conflict -- anyone looking to set up their own device company to follow in the footsteps of Android's daddy, Andy Rubin. -google a friend of the anti patent movement. Even though they own thousands of them.

@Nielsio: The Santa tale was funny. It reminded me of how much I laughed reading the case for Ebeneezer.

You understand that Tom isn't refferring to his own political philosophy when he says that the Union is a means to an end, right? When he says, "The Union is supposed to be a practical thing. It’s supposed to be a means to an end; not an end in itself," it is like him saying, "I don't accept the idea that the Union is legitimate, but even if I did, I would still allow for secession because the Union is supposed to be a practical thing. It’s supposed to be a means to an end; not an end in itself." He is arguing the way Ron Paul argues.

NHTSA gets White House OK to mandate vehicle 'black boxes'

"Nearly all vehicles currently have the devices.

NHTSA's proposed rule, which would raise the percentage of vehicles required to have an EDR from 91.6 percent today to 100 percent of light-duty autos, would have an incremental cost, assuming the sale of 15.5 million light vehicles per year."

Wait, what???

Hate To Break It To You, But Your Car Likely Has A Black Box 'Spying' On You Already

"the truth of the matter is that most Americans already have black boxes in their cars. They’ve been around since 1996, are found in at least 60 million vehicles, and are a feature in 85% of new cars every year."

“Virtually every car that has an air bag has some kind of recording ability,” says James Casassa, of Wolf Forensics which specializes in downloading crash information from vehicles made by GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota and Honda. The recorders capture information about how fast you were going and whether you slammed on the brakes in the seconds before and after a crash. They capture just a snapshot, not a continual record of your driving activity — which would be far more concerning for privacy.

I bet any vessel without an approved black box will be deemed a pirate or a terrorist. Probably both.

Rand Paul's brilliant new strategy: give the Left everything they want. Yeah, that'll work, sure.

Rand Paul: We Should Let Dems Raise Taxes And Then Let Them Own It

SEN. RAND PAUL: I have yet another thought on how we can fix this. Why don't we let the Democrats pass whatever they want? If they are the party of higher taxes, all the Republicans vote present and let the Democrats raise taxes as high as they want to raise them, let Democrats in the Senate raise taxes, let the president sign it and then make them own the tax increase. And when the economy stalls, when the economy sputters, when people lose their jobs, they know which party to blame, the party of high taxes. Let's don't be the party of just almost as high taxes.

LARRY KUDLOW, CNBC: Some people have called that the doomsday scenario. Others have said, 'Look, it's a strategic retreat on the Republicans' behalf.' WWould you vote present for that in the Senate if that came up?

RAND PAUL: Yes...

Yup.

I keep scoping out these guys for potential converts and just trying to figure out what they're up to. They're a lot more organized and into outreach stuff than the libertarians on my campus so I'm disturbed to say the least.
