I am cleaning up old forum data.  This will affect the "read" status of posts, but I think nothing else that is visible.

As long as you are here, what was the deal with the forum shutting down?

Given that his previous post was 2010 days ago, the econometrician in me predicts the next one will be on October 31st, 2018

David V,

Whatever you're up to, it's working. I'm getting emails now about posts from last year. Finally, some action.

The emails are getting really obnoxious.

I'm surprised y'all aren't using a filter. Let your machines work for you! It's stopped about 120 of them so far for me, as if they never existed.

If you use gmail, just go into Settings->Filters->create new filter, set From: to webmaster@mises.org, create filter, then check [] Delete it for the action to take, then let it go. No more pings for new mail, including on your phone (gives it a rest). Remember to remove this filter in a few days once the emails stop.

I have been unable to log in here since January. Now, it works, at last!

Now that the backlog is cleaned up, I'm pleased that the emails are coming in.

Does this portend a revival of the forum?

Will the quote function start working?

The email on the Mises.org Community was not working for several months. I just fixed it, which caused all the pending notifications to be sent in one blast. I deleted most of them while they were still in the mail queue. Sorry about that.

My guess is that the forum is being put on hold until the new overarching tech guy figures out what he wants to do with it.
