Via Yahoo! News. According to the article UBS is under pressure from U.S. tax authorities: "The Swiss bank decided in July last year to stop offering offshore accounts to U.S. citizens after it was targeted by a U.S. tax investigation which challenges Switzerland's famous banking secrecy laws."
Are there banks or countries that are more willing to resist armed robbery?

I'm surprised it hasn't happened until now.

UBS Canada has also been target by Canadian authorities as well.

The problem with UBS is that one had to be wealthy in order to invest! We can only hope for a Wal-Mart like bank that can bring tax resistance to the masses.

Do you know of other places to open an offshore account?
