Hello everyone,

I am a 24 year old who has worked for Verizon for the past 2 years and I am currently looking for a new job.  I graduated from Stevens Institute in Hoboken with a degree in Business & Technology and I am working towards a Masters in Management.  I was recently introduced to Austrian Economics because of Ron Paul and can't get enough of it.  I am looking for some advice on where I should apply, I want to work in either finance or marketing.  Some place where my newly found love for the free markets will be appreciated.  Thanks for you help in advance.

Why don't you start your own business? Since you are in finance and marketing, you could sell insurance, loans, finance packages, leases and the like. With your own website you could find customers and monitor trends. Even if you'd work for another company now this could be an option to consider. Get a business plan and a network of lawyers, accounting people, publishers relevant associations etc.

Hey, how come you guys wouldn't tell me if my stolen phone was used to make any calls so I could go get is back?

Here's the story, three guys rob the bar I hang out in and get pissed because there's not enough money there to make it worthwhile to risk an armed robbery so they take everything on my person -- wallet, keys, smokes, lighter and cellphone. I go down to Verizon's office and tell them the story and ask for a printout of the calls made from the phone, so I could give it to the 'police', and get denied because it was a pre-paid phone plan.

Oh well, probably better they didn't tell me because I would really have gone and tracked it down...with a little help from my friends.

I'd go into marketing in the technology field, that's an outright den of socialist thinkers. Not only will they hate you for the unreasonable expectations you sell to the clients that they have to deliver but you get to shoot down their Technocratic Utopian Paradise using the teachings of the Austrians which they especially hate since there is no valid defense against the economic calculation problem. Drives 'em batty that there is no way to overcome the problems posed by Mises using the great gods Mathematics and Technology.

Wait, you meant a practical application of Austrian Economics?
