A good one you can send to anyone...
Steve Jobs to City of Cupertino: "Let Apple build a new building or we will leave." City of Cupertino: "Can we get free Wi-Fi?" Steve Jobs: "No." City of Cupertino: "We need your tax money anyway, so go ahead an build."
To paraphrase Marc Faber: We're all doomed, but that doesn't mean that we can't make money in the process. Rabbi Lapin: "Let's make bricks!" Stephan Kinsella: "Say you and I both want to make a German chocolate cake."
This is pretty darn cool...
A documentary that tracks the evolution of global capitalism from the ’70s until today, considering the position of Greece in the global economy but also the traps of the so called “free market system”, such like… debt!, GREEK with English Subs.

Kind of a run-of-the-mill, psychologizing, ivory-tower post from a statheist, but check out the unintended irony located in the final paragraph (emphasis is mine):
Well, are there any big surprises from a comprehensive study like this? It's only natural that eroding uncivil authoritarianism and ethnic and sexual prejudice is going to require diminishing religious fundamentalism. But the reality behind these confirmed stereotypes is even more serious. Pause for a moment and consider why fundamentalism permits a "perfect storm" of damage against core civic virtues and principles of democracy. By combining intellectual rigidity, preference for stern authority, prejudice against others, and a willingness to use military power, fundamentalism is connected to a willingness to impose just one narrow way of life on everyone else, by force if necessary. That's not just psychologically unhealthy -- it is political pestilence. These are not democratic values. Fundamentalism is indeed the high road to tyranny and fascism. Eroding fundamentalism is necessary to preserving the democratic way of life.

If you watch the first episode you will see David Harrington, someone from the Democratic Socialist Party or something like that, making idiotic comments and just making a complete ass of himself in general.
Everyone is a fundamentalist of some sort.

FactCheck on GOP New Hampshire Debate
"Santorum claimed a Medicare advisory board created by the new federal health care law will result in a rationing of care for seniors. The law specifically says the board “shall not include any recommendation to ration health care.”"
Hmm so what the law says and what will actually happen are the same thing?

Good stuff from Reason TV on IP:
But then why do people have to ask for reprint permission from their organization?:
- http://reason.com/about ("reprint permissions")
- http://reason.org/ ("all rights reserved")
I've wondered the same thing about certain Mises Institute works. I understand LvMI publishes many works they do not have copyright to, but some they do...and rights are still reserved...even as late as 2008 (e.g. The Ethics of Money Production) the warning was there.

It's not worth starting a thread to ask that so I think here's is a good place to ask: Does anyone know if Rothbard spoke German?

Does anyone else find it comical that this is the only reason most Americans are going to find out hockey games were even taking place?

Nielsio:Maybe they're trying to help the economy?
I don't know about that...but I bet Krugman and Ko. are penning their editorials about Canada's amazing economic boon as we speak: "As odd as it may sound, the violent fanaticism and complete idiocy of Canadians might just do some economic good."

An article about the wrongness of Paul Krugman. It's a good article, but ultimately flawed from an Austrian perspective I think.

I agree with your assesment. That article is someone doing a great job explaining why telling the future from tea leaves is ridiculous. And he then goes on to say that the real oracle is chicken entrails.
Well this asshat just has it all figured out, doesn't he? (For a couple of excellent reviews of his film, see here and here.)
Did Rothbard, Hayek or Mises have children?

Okay so it turns out the LvMI posted this back in 2008, but the Independent Institute just posted it yesterday, so I just saw it. It's a discussion from 1983 with Ron Paul and Dominick T. Armentano, author of Antitrust: The Case for Repeal.
May have already appeared in a past low content thread, but I just saw this and thought it was great:
