I like how they phrase it:

"Thursday's outage raised anew questions about the condition of the nation's electricity grid."

 

As if all the different electric companies are really just property of the federal government.  Its the nation's grid.  Therefore, if you aren't paying attention, the federal government needs to enact some sort of regulation or something to fix it.  Of course, first, they'll have to go through the pesky problem of taking complete control of it.

Yup hit us here in So-cal. We were some of the first (only 14,000 at the time) to get power back. 

 

I don't see this can be political issue, wasn't it just some mishap by one person?
