This forum will be closed soon. We all know the problems here. The plan is to merge this forum into austrianforum.com and archive it. We will have to wait and see if everything will convert (posts, topics, categories). If you have an old account at austrianforum.com please feel free to revive it (all passwords will be reset upon first login). If we successfully move all posts from here to there, there is a member merge function that will allow us to combine your accounts. We really hope this can happen but it will be difficult.

For full disclosure, I am running austrianforum on my own outside of the Mises Institute. I have their approval to migrate these forums (if it is possible). If anyone has any questions you can PM me here or there. I'll monitor this thread as well is anyone needs anything.

It's like I've just been told to pack up my things and evacuate my house...

If I don't make it to the other side, I want you all to know that I love you.

"Um. What's the plan, fellow forum members?"

1. Give up

2. Become Socialists

3. ???

4. Profit!

Clayton's recent suggestion to lead a forum exodus seems to be becoming true.

Also, our accounts WILL be transferred over right?

I am going to try my best to get your accounts from here into there, posts and all. For now I suggest getting a new account there. I can then merge the accounts once we can import everything here.

Jargon, if you look to the right there are the latest topics. Also, you can click the "View New Content" in upper right to get a better sense of new stuff.

Awful :( despite it's problems, these forums work.

...or slowly.

I'm curious, who's decision was it to close the forum?

Sorry Bert. It is a max of 5 users at the moment. I'll expand it. Just wanted to make sure that was a feature everyone really wanted. Pretty quick validation.

I've only been here a little under a year so just out of curiosity, what exactly are the problems here? I know there's some technical issues with the forum software but it never bothered me too much. Still my favorite community on the Internet!

Well, from my quick survey, the site sucks. There are too many categories and sub-categories to find what you want. I like it where you can view all the threads at once, like this forum.
