• Hazlitt = Strawmanner of Keynes

    >Kayne-zee-uns say that goverment can stimulate the economy by breaking windows >But every dollar spent on repairing those broken windows could be spent elsewhere >Even though the whole point of Kayne-zee-unism is that spending is not going on in the private sector

  • Re: *** August 2011 low content thread ***
Wen someone says that war helps economies, is it a good refutation to point at African countries at civil war and ask why war is not making them better? Or is it a bit of a straw man?
Why do you even have to go there?

  • Minister Joseph Kirk This guy seems to have just popped up in the last few days; statist / Fed apologist who seems intent on completely muddling people's views on Ron Paul. In this video: he attempts to...

  • Greek catastrophe used as a case against gold standard Does it matter what kind of currency you use when you are spending irresponsibly? Wouldn't there be enormous inflation if Greece had its own fiat currency right now to monetize its debt and pay for deficits? Lastly does...

  • Canada-A veiw from the other side (Competition in telecoms of CanadaIs; is it really there)

Last year, I had enough of a job in which...

  • Re: Proving Natural Law

No one should prove any ethical principle from the argument by performative contradiction. Instead, one should analyze the benefits and costs of each ethical principle, and then choose one which attains the maximum well-being or prosperity of the general population. The argument by performative contradiction...

  • My "debate" with a neo-luddite (aka Venus Project spokesperson).

I hope to format this to make it easier to read because it's interesting what the Venus Project folks purport as "scientific" in their "radio shows" and "videos" yet none of them seem to have a background in economics, or even a broad based background in any industry...

  • Re: Is Ron Paul a racist?
Racism is a natural and rational part of the human condition. Even those that denounce it probably only come into contact with blacks when they're looking to buy some drugs.
LOL, "Racism" is kind of self-preservationist. I think we should do...
