What are some inventive ways that people have made up to not pay taxes? Either income or anything else. I don't really know if I'm allowed to ask this on here, but hopefully I can. If the IRS is reading this right now, I'm, um... researching for a book?

  • Re: 16th amendment

[quote user="sam72"] I'm curious to know what people think about the constitutionality of the 16th amendment. There have been a lot of arguments put forth by people like Bill Benson as to how the 16th amendment was never properly ratified. On the other hand, no court has ever upheld any...

  • Re: Alternative to the income tax

All: There is a lot of mis-information here, which I suppose is not uncommon. The 16th Amendment did not make Income taxes legal, nor did it allow for income taxes to be assessed withut apportionment. What it did is to make the taxing of income from different sources untaxable at different rates. That's...
