  • Re: Who here can refute Einstein on socialism?

Even as a theoretical physicist, Einstein was wrong on a number of factors so it's safe to assume that his views of economics where just plain wrong. He would of received the Nobel Prize on several more occasions if he only believed what his equations put forth. Once he discovered general relativity, I believe, he only made a few more major ground

  • Re: Man robs bank $1 to get healthcare in jail.

Government involvement and coporatism(ie more government involvement) have increased the cost of medicine and adjuncts (drugs, medical technology,... ). Bottom line, healthcare would be more affordable if wasn't for intervention.

  • Re: Your favorite "socialists"

Without thinking, I would of said no one. Then someone stated Einstein. This brings up a point about Einstein, while incredibly intelligent, he was inherantly flawed with coming to conclusions, especially if they went against his personal beliefs. I could understand why anyone would think, initially, socialism could work, but a little study and history

  • Re: Physics type question regarding position and time

Particles according to quantum wavefunction dynamics (the Schrodinger equation and Dirac equation), have only several properties (angular momentum, charge, velocity, spin, position space, and mass... and combinations of what was previously mentioned in the form of Hamiltonian and Langragian formulations). Of those properties, spin is an abstract property

    I support that arguement askebabs.

  • Re: Calculus Discussion

Zangelbert Bingledack I don't have the time to answer all your questions. I'm about to leave. It is beyond the present scope of quantum mechanics to construct what the actual geometric construction of the photon. The various laws of quantum mechanics describe varying sizes within the universe, but to probe to the level of an actual photon would

  • Re: Calculus Discussion

The speed of light is a constant within the universe.. However, the velocity of light does change depending on the medium. However, it is not that a photon is slowing down, it is simply interacting with the medium it is traveling in to a degree. Approximately, 93 million miles or 8 1/2 light minutes. The only assumptions that need to be made is that

  • Re: Calculus Discussion

All forms of radiation (microwave, gamma rays, visual light, and so forth) are photons traveling at the speed of light. Depending on the frequency of photons, dictates the classification of radiation. Thus, you could say electro-magnetic lines is visible light, but existing at a lower frequency than that of visible light and nothing more. The same radiation

  • Re: Calculus Discussion

Magnetic and electric field lines are physical objects. Just like light. Electric magnetic field lines help generate electricity. This was taught at a young age in physical sciences. You have a magnet and you put iron fillings around the magnet. The fillings position themselves spontaneously into the geometric field lines of the magnet. The electricity

  • Re: Calculus Discussion

Quantum electrodynamics is the union of quantum mechanics with electrodynamics (a highly geometric theory that can be easily visualized). QED was constructed because physicist needed a quantum method for describing photons and particles that travel close to the speed of light. In addition, particles contain properties, such as spin, that needed a quantum
