I don't think TZM people use the same definition of "scarcity" that Austrians do. Hardly anyone does. They mean 'scarce' in a purely relativistic sense, failing to appreciate, as usual, that they're applying their own subjective utility function. I have my doubts about De Beers destroying diamonds... Why would they mine them
If I told someone in 1267 that some day, kings would be a thing of the past, he would say "why thats absurd! Kings have always been around and they always will be, because they want the power." And he would be wrong today.
I know I'm being besides the point, but there are still quite a few monarchs knocking around today

I still can't believe they actually managed to force through a constitutional amendment to allow for alcohol prohibition... Or that they apparently haven't needed one for drug prohibition. :/

Mmm, the problem is that IP laws all work the same way... SOPA is evolutionary rather than revolutionary. No one without a hell of a lot of money to burn wants to get involved in America's glorious system of "due process", so threats of legal action are generally enough to get 'offensive' content removed.
an acorn is not an oak, a fetus, is not a human. That's the point of most "pro"-abortionists.
I'm not sure that's relevant. You're just as entitled to destroy an oak tree as you are an acorn, subject to being or having the consent of its owner. Besides, a sapling isn't an oak tree either. It's difficult

It could just be strategic, like voting for Ron Paul for POTUS. Even if you don't think that you even have a contract (I agree that you don't), it's still worth pointing out when the other party violates this hypothetical contract's terms to the point of voiding it. It's a plea in the alternative, and it makes them look very, very
See, you're confusing the difference between theories of morality and theories of justice.
Maybe the distinction is clearer if you call "justice" punishment? Some things are arguably wrong, but not worthy of a coercive response or retaliation, e.g adultery, which is a kind of betrayed confidence. But then wouldn't God

Yes! That explains the new posters. Aww, it felt like a secret society for a while there. :p (Or some awful Cheers bar.)
I am a U.S. citizen. I would have refused to have gone to Viet Nam....because Viet Nam did not invade America....but America did invade Viet Nam.....yet I volunteered for the IDF.
Did the Palestinians choose to have the Zionists invade their country? Maybe you're just turned off having fought for the Americans in Vietnam because

Hmm, I get mostly American sites if I search those terms from google.co.za, but The Guardian is still the top link... Then NY Times, Washington Post, HuffPo, ABC, CNN and The Economist. It's possible that you searched shortly after peak British browsing time, before it crossed the Atlantic - so those sites had received more hits in the previous
