• Re: Buchanan and Barr
I like Buchanan. Anyone who writes revisionist history on World War II is okay in my book.
That's what I was thinking. Did anyone else see him on the Colbert Report? http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/021405.html

  • Re: The success of the Amish people and the power of libertarianism?
Their society is very socialist and they do not appreciate individualism as it will mess with their day-today life.
Their society may be collectivist in nature but it's completely voluntary. It's just a group of people held together by certain set of values. Just like an anarcho-capitalist society would

  • Re: Ronald Regan: Good or Bad?

Wasn't Reagan's administration the one that supplied weapons to Osama Bin Laden so the Mujahadeen could fight against the Soviets? That really came back to bite us.
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK", said the leftist Obama. You know the United States is quickly approaching too-far-gone status when potential presidential candidates can say things

  • Re: Television Programming Quality

People these days don't have very good taste in television. Reality shows (the death of intelligent thought) are everywhere and shows that actually have an engaging storyline (and somewhat of a libertarian message) like Jericho are cancelled after the second season. Some people even want to go as far as to force cable companies to allow their customers

  • Re: Animal Cruelty vs Property Rights

Animals are property and have no rights as such. Although under the system of anarcho-capitalism your private defense agency or insurance company might have their own laws against animal cruelty.

  • Re: Free State Project and Agorism

I know theres a ton of people who have a problem with New Hampshire but that's the state was chosen. The Free State Project isn't going to work if every group of libertarians come up with their own place they think libertarians should move to. Splintering the project is a really bad idea. In order for the FSP to succeed people just have to come

  • Re: What book turned you Libertarian

Civil Disobedience (also known by Resistance to Civil Government) by Henry Throeau was kind of a pushing factor. The strangest part was that I read it in public school.

  • Re: Polygamist Church

I was listening to Free Talk Live and aparently the only way the people in that community are able to sustain their way of life is by applying for welfare. So if it wasn't for the forced income redistribution this group which nobody myself included seems to agree with their practices would not be able to operate.
I agree. He has really helped in getting the austrian beliefs out.
Can someone be an anarcho-capitalist and not an Austrian?
