• Re: Libertarian pacifism
I will explain why my position on war is not only utilitarian but ethical as well. When a terrorist organization fires from a crowded place, they leave the defending side no choice but to fire back. In the process innocent civilians might get killed. But it is the responsibility of the terrorist organization, not the

  • Re: Fair trials?

So, I think what constitutes a fair trial is if the arbitrator/judge is chosen by both parties. I think this is the only thing that matters for a trial to be fair. Anyone disagree?
Well, its conceivable that both parties chose the same judge and the trial is not fair. If the judge ignores evidence

  • Fair trials?

I think this the most important thing for getting a fair trial is that both parties choose the arbitrator/judge. Anyone disagree? I have talked to some statists about the U.S. courts. They like to claim the trials are fair because the judges are only expected to enforce laws, their pay is set and they are appointed not elected. So what? Their employer

  • Re: Napolitano and Constitutionalism
My ideas and thinking on the Constitution are in constant flux Here is my present understanding... I think that there was relatively little wrong with the Constitution up until the amendments started getting tacked on.
Yeah, nothing wrong with theft/extortion right? Give me a break.

Judge Napolitano: I think all taxation is theft. I'm not talking about user fees; I am taking about the government taking money from you for the privilege of engaging in a commercial transaction or for the privilege of earning income. It's moral theft. But as it is lawful, I can't encourage

  • Re: Voluntary Taxes? Give me a break.
If you assume government to be owner of all land in their territory(which they effectively are due to monopoly on violence), then there is little, if anything un-propertarian about asking for taxes as a condition of use of the property.
First of all, the government does not claim to own the land. Second of all
