• Re: Jon Stewart, Glenn Beck, and LRC

Googled "libertaryan" and it turns out that the statists have already started using it ... Jon Stewart is a fairly good comedian, but most of his material is socialist nonsense. The last seconds were golden, where he says "I promised myself I would cry" and proceeds to bite his hand to achieve the desired outcome, but instead achieves

  • Re: The most sustainable State ever?

The Ice Cream is far too expensive in Switzerland, I would not want to live there. Maybe that's why it is so stable? Because people who make a fuss will not move there because the ice cream is too expensive? Yeah, probably it.

  • Re: Noticing Your Bias
The majority of the political/economics material I read comes from mises.org I’ve noticed that I am developing quite a bias for anyone outside the circle of Austrian Economics (which is not scientific in the slightest). If I hear someone refer to an individual from another school of thought I probably, though

  • Re: Noam Chomsky and Libertarianism

Well, basically his work is on syntax, but men are not mice, and syntax is not as important as Chomsky claims it is. My mother has a PhD in cognitive linguistics and briefly explained his stances to me, back then I wasn't as libertarian as I am today. I am a computer programmer myself, and therefore I understand that the syntax of language is very

  • Re: Noam Chomsky and Libertarianism
Since there's already one of Friedman and Rand, I figured I would make one on Chomsky. Chomsky's libertarian ideas are awesome, I love the things he's said about the Mass Media, Foreign Policy, and US History. However, he fell SO HARD to the Labor Theory of Value. How the hell could such a

  • Re: Absolutely shameful article on mises.org

"poopieheads"
you didn't just say that word did you...lol...
"Poopie! Poopie! Poopie!" My point was that even if one chooses to use childish or offensive words to describe one's opponents, it doesn't change one's arguments. I for one

  • Re: Absolutely shameful article on mises.org
credibility or lack thereof doesn't necessarily equate the use of certain words
Agreed, if I choose to call my opponents "poopieheads", that's OK, as long as my arguments are solid.

  • Re: cyber freedom

No. The OP is right. We need to have some way independent of the government to organize, otherwise we would stand no chance.
Ideas, anyone?
Telepathy obviously. I have already invented it, so it's good to go. Only thing is, I can't afford a patent, so I won't

  • Re: what are your opinions of alternative medicine?
Or do you have any? I think it is pretty interesting although the homeopaths seem rather wacky (just an opinion).
Yes, homeopathy is wacky, it is/was better than some harmful medicine though, since it doesn't hurt you. But, yeah, you'd be better off not going to a homeopath. There's lots of wack

  • Re: What is the best thing that government has created?
I don't get the point of this thread. you live in a dangerous town and are regularly robbed. it is a custom of the muggers to leave calling cards, little toys like you'd find in a happy meal or kinder-egg. of all the muggers that accosted you and stole your wealth and left you little rinkidinks, which rinkidink
