I don't have an answer to what you are asking, but I have a suggestion. I think you should consider the trustworthiness of your sources i.e. try to remember from where did you hear that 1950s had the best economic growth in history and from where did you hear that it was 1880s. Do you remember your sources?

I know your pain - so much to read, so little time. I wish I could be immortal (or stop time) for a hundred years or so. At least then I could read most of what needs to be read. It seems like this journey called reading takes forever.

Assuming you were asking for a book recommendation or something like that, my vote would also go to For a New Liberty by Murray N. Rothbard. Does anyone know if Volutary City (edited by David T. Beito) is worth of reading?
