  • Re: Homosexual Marriage

Bravo Jon I never could understand the frantic clamoring for the STATE to approve gay marraige. . Individuals always did and always will have the right to associate and relate to any and everybody they choose.I never felt the need for Lord Obama or Lord Busch for that matter to approve my heterosexual union. They do not and should not have that power

  • Re: How can anarchy sustain itself?

Hi Rumblyelk. Welcome to the boards. In my opinion, you are still stuck in a basic economic fallacy. A common fear of free markets by the uninformed is that eventually everything will be owned by one or wo big guys. Thats what your scenario assumes. We need to discuss this in detail before we can throw around guesses as to what may or may not happen

  • Re: Who is your dream team ?

The obvious question that nobody is asking...... if you believe in making government smaller .... why would you HIRE ANYONE??? Most devout libertarian economists will most likely volunteer their advice to help you decide which million of beaurocrats to FIRE each day.

  • Re: Does the government own your land?

Have her enlighten us..... just exactly when did the government claim the land..... was that before the American indians settled, or before the pilgrims settled, or before the Revolutionary war with England, or before or after the Civil war?

  • Re: Federal Money To Sheriff if His Deputies Check on Government Haters

Limitgov, You are right to think this is scary. But I don't know why today you think this is "GETTING a little scary." There are at least 4 or 5 high ranking cabinet officials in the federal government who believe this is their most important duty. Some of them have recently purchased millions of rounds of hollow point ammunition. And

  • Re: What about the employees rights?

What would happen if there was no such thing as minimum wage, maximum hours or workers rights? (while were at it why don't we take away government unemployment insurance too.) You would have farm kids getting up at five in the morning and working on the family farm 7 days a week. How horrible. Or you would have kids needing money at any age get

  • Re: ABCT and a-priorism

Prashanth, In my humble opinion it is not only the ABCT or for that matter the Austrians that believe that savings lead to the addition of new stages to the production cycle. I think everybody giving it some thought will agree that the way any business gets more efficient, more competitive, more profitable is by adding capital goods to the production

  • Re: Free Market Solution to Homelessness?

First off you have to define what you mean by "solution"? Are you trying to treat the symptom or the cause? 1. Is your inquiry on where to house the homeless cost effectively? No matter what you decide is the answer, if you reward that behaviour -you do realize then that if you provide something, anything, be it a mansion or a tent.......

  • Re: Request for feedback on critique of AD-AS model.

Because you make Keynesian statements that I probably don't get I am going to insist you justify them. (also because I cannot always tell which Keynesian thoughts you agree and disagree with.) The first three thoughts I want to pick apart are: 1.How can you prove that "savings" by individual actors are "significant" enough to
