  • Re: Interesting Argument Against Anarchism

It's a nonsensical analogy. Pertains to nothing but the authors lack of imagination. You've got rape and forced starvation(both violent acts- despite your contentions), bikers, and vending machines. Honestly, you couldn't have incuded monkeys or ninjas in it?

  • Re: Marriage

Religion is a corruption of sprituality. Where spirituality stresses the individual spirit and individual truths, religion focuses only on the 'benevolent leader'. It demands comformity, rules through fear, and serves as an always convient excuse for oppresion. Tradition, similarly, acts as a form of slavery to latter generations. Marriage is

  • Re: Enviro-mental-whacko's

"Evil" is a subjective term. It has no real meaning but that which you give it. Looking at history, the most succesful means to change has been, unfortunately, violence. It is inevitable that the enviromental movement become violent. When peaceful means fail most movements turn to violence. I don't know if ELF is communist or socialist

Of course, one law is terrible and abusive, so let's make more laws! That'll solve all our problems. Thank you LA Times; thank you for being such an bastion of intellectual acumen in a world tragically full of lumpenproletariat pigs. (sarcasm is intentional, but sounding like a total jerk: not quite so much)

  • Re: A School banned Legos because the Free Market was not a Fair and Equal.

So, basically, the teacher's telling the children to express themselves by doing everything she says and acting like everyone else (how progressive). How about, instead of taking "rights" away from the older kids to give to the younger (somebody read Robin Hood a few to many times), they buy more damn Legos and let the kids use their imaginations

  • Re: Mises and Anarchism

The problem is that most anarchist societies are doomed from the start. A small gathering of individuals have no hope against every single nation under the sun. There is no government that wants to see an anarchist state established, and even the smallest will use force to keep in power even their worst enemies. However, as far as domestic issues go

  • Re: Top psychiatrist concludes liberals clinically nuts

They are both completely rational. They see what they want, and they do whatever they have to to get it. Half-truths and supressed evidence may seem irrational, but in reality they are simply tools of winning the debate for their side, and the reason for being on that side is power. Each version of state and society has power invested in one particular

  • Re: OMG: A pro-statist web site!

From "A guide to rebuttingright-wing critics" (because apparently right-wingers are the only ones who hate the government, and anarcho-communists/syndicalists are republicans in disguise): "Free-market capitalism could not exist without an active government that provides the extensive legal infrastructure that creates and regulates markets

  • Re: Basic Human Rights

One only has the right to self interest. Unfortunately that's the first thing government takes.
