Yeah it definetly does depend on who you get for the patdown event. I usually wear something Ron Paul to the airport and ironically enough have noticed a lot of Paul supporters are TSA agents. Those ones are usually less invasive. The first time I got a TSA agent that really enjoyed their job I was completely shocked and it nearly took my breath away
