What's the difference between regular Human Action and the scholar's edition?

I'm really enjoying Austrian literature, but I started undertaking Human Action and Man, State, and Economy , and these texts are massive! For those who've read either of them, do you reference them vs. read them word-for-word? What's the best way to tackle these texts?
