I used to work in a union job once. It was a terrifying experience.
Not offices and bureaucrats, but big business deserves credit for the fact that most of the families in the United States own a motorcar and a radio set. - Ludwig von Mises
What'd you have to do that was so terrifying?

Once I couldn't get a union job. I was even willing to get paid less than anyone else to get the job, and they still wouldn't let me have it!

Isn't that any oxymoron?
I used work in a public library, so what?
I remember there was another assistant librarian who was really a nutcase. In short he did little more than drooling over the girls who came in and the head librarian and me had to make up for his lack of "enthusiasm" by working longer and harder. When the fellow was pressured to change his ways he usually went straight to the public workers union which always, and I mean always, unconditionally stood by him. They didn't even say "OK, we will help you out but at least pretend to work more and try not to sneak out earlier". That's when i satrted suspecting there was something deeply wrong with unions.

Yup. I just needed work at the time. Didn't care much for any of the "benefits" that would come with the job.

MarketFundamentalist: Fephisto:What'd you have to do that was so terrifying? Its not so much what I had to do, but what the others were doing: the collectivism and mob mentality. It was truly disgusting and despicable to see such statism. Of course I benefited a little because I had a few benefits etc, but at whose cost? It was disgusting to see my fellow riff raff trying to mooch money off the productive members of society.
Examples please.

Most of your posts have been declarative statements. What exactly do you want to learn? What was the purpose of your "confession"? Lastly, why do you say things that may be stupid?
