I actually consider this a good thing.  How else would the average person be able to debate with bureaucrats?

In courts, presumably*.

Considering how ineptly the federal government runs everything else, I' m not very worried, honestly.

Oh no!  No more facebook? Good riddance, I can use some other decentralized, opt-in, private version of facebook that everyone will eventually be able to run with simple access to PHP5 in the next few years on our own sites, probably with some built in PGP function to allow for encryption.

is facebook not private?

I would rellish the opportunity to debate them. It can only make the institution look worse if they have to HIRE people to support them.
