Can you guys give me the best sources for public schooling vs. private schooling throughout history? Examples would be how it arose, how it worked before, the economic problems of public funding, etc. with an emphasis on universities.

This girl wrote a column regarding how Arizona State University shouldn't privatize because tuition will go up and everyone has a RIGHT to receive education from someone... typical of our newspaper. Either way, I'm going to argue for privatization and then basically tear our entire budget apart.

Guess I won't be getting a recommendation letter from our university's President... sad
