I don't know of any, but I thought maybe someone here would know.  Dr. McDonald was Austrian, wasn't he?

Dr. McDonald was a Jeffersonian Democrat, while Dr. Paul is a Bob A Taft Republican, which are one and the same.

No idea who you are talking about, but Austrianism has nothing to do with political parties.

Especially since the Austrian School started with Fabian Socialists (Friedrich von Wieser, Eugen von Philippsberg, Friedrich Hayek), Progressives (Eugen Bohm Bauwerk was a protectionist finance minister), and people of other such views and affiliations, who gave up on their ideas because of economic reality and not because of their politics. Indeed, it involved many people who found that their politics and their economic analysis simply did not match.

I'm sorry about the confusion.  Were there any differences between Dr. Paul and Dr. McDonald though?

Who is/was Dr. McDonald? A quick google search revealed nothing.

Larry McDonald was a Congressman from Georgia who was killed by the soviets.  He was a urologist and the 2nd leader of JBS, IIRC.  Dr. Paul said Larry McDonald was the most principled man in Congress.

Bob Conley (ran against neocon Lindsey Graham in 08 and lost) referred to himself as the Larry McDonald Democrat in an interview with the New American.
