So how much does regime uncertainty have to do with the stagnant jobs situation in our country? Has fear of Obama caused employers to shy away from jobs and expansion? What does everyone think?

I'm not so sure if regime uncertainty is playing as big a part in the American economy as people think.  For example, if there's fear that a newly-elected socialist government is going to nationalize an industry, of course resources will flee that market and enter others.  I'm not sure that anything of that scale is going on.  At most it's effecting the healthcare industry, since many students who once considered getting an M.D. are now pursuing alternative careers.
